Problem: Remove the warning: “Opening this document will run the following SQL command?” when accessing a letter in the Letters module
Cause: This is caused by added security to prevent malicious code from being introduced by a mail-merge document.
Fix: Users may get this error message on starting APA Referencing Macros. To fix this error it is necessary to edit the Windows Registry.

Word 2007



  1. Log out of Contract Manager and close Word.

  2. Start Registry Editor.  (Go to Start > Run and type regedit and click OK )
     

  3. Locate and then click the following registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\Options
     

  4. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
     

  5. Under Name, type: SQLSecurityCheck
     

  6. Double-click SQLSecurityCheck.
     

  7. In the Value data box type: 00000000
     

  8. Click OK.
     

  9. Log back into Contract Manager.
     

Word 2003



  1. Log out of Contract Manager and close Word.
     

  2. Start Registry Editor.
     

  3. Locate and then click the following registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Word\Options
     

  4. Click Edit, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
     

  5. Under Name, type: SQLSecurityCheck
     

  6. Double-click SQLSecurityCheck.
     

  7. In the Value data box type: 00000000
     

  8. Click OK.
     

  9. Log back into Contract Manager.

Word 2002 Service Pack 3



  1. Log out of Contract Manager and close Word.
     

  2. Start Registry Editor.
     

  3. Locate and then click the following registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Word\Options
     

  4. Click Edit, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
     

  5. Under Name, type: SQLSecurityCheck
     

  6. Double-click SQLSecurityCheck.
     

  7. In the Value data box type: 00000000
     

  8. Click OK.
     

  9. Log back into Contract Manager.
